Tabatha’s Salon Takeover travels to Plush Salon in Chatsworth, California this week. It will be interesting to see how the employees of Plush Salon face tart-tongued Tabatha during the December 1, 2009 episode on BravoTV.

Last week we saw Tabatha Coffey travel to Bang Salon, Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she had to deal with the most unprofessional salon she’s ever seen! A week before that Tabatha traveled to Eclectic Salon in LA, California. She tried to help out Eclectic Salon which was going through some serious financial troubles. This week too, Tabatha will surely have a torrid time at Plush Salon as the owner seems more interested in spending money than in saving her salon.

Plush Salon is a Full Service Salon offering the finest in Hair Care, Skin Care, Waxing, and Nail Services. This salon is situated in Chatsworth, California and offers the highest quality in Stylists, Products, and Services.

The owner of this salon believes in the importance of continuing cosmetology education and has imbibed the same principles in her stylists. The utmost goal of all the stylists at Plush Salon is to utilize their continued cosmetology education as the ultimate compliment to provide clients with the hottest style possible. However, the owner has different plans as she is more concerned in spending money than in serving her clients.

I guess this week’s episode of Tabatha’s Salon Takeover will be a treat to watch as there won’t be any backstabbing or crying. The second episode that featured Allure Salon was boring but this week’s episode will be fun as the salon owner goes on a spending spree.

Usually, the atmosphere in the salon is friendly and all stylists work together as a team. I wonder whether this teamwork will prevail when Plush Salon faces the camera for BravoTV’s Tabatha’s Salon Takeover. They have also organized a re-play party on December 4, 2009 inviting everyone.

Catch the LIVE episode of Tabatha’s Salon Takeover at Plush Salon tomorrow on BravoTV at 10 pm.

Farouk Shami has officially launched his candidacy for the post of governor for the state of Texas with a promise to continue bringing jobs. We had reported earlier that Hair care magnate – Farouk Shami was planning to file Democratic nomination for governor.

Farouk Shami was a poor immigrant in his initial days in the United States. He went on to achieve the American dream by earning a fortune through hard work. He’s a successful businessman who wants to stimulate the economy by creating tens of thousands of jobs in the solar energy business in Texas. Therefore, he chose to run for the Democratic Party which includes businessman Tom Schieffer and schoolteacher Felix Alvarado of Fort Worth, Tyler-area rancher Hank Gilbert and Kinky Friedman, a satirist from Austin.

It will be interesting to see how he can get the confidence of people. It will surely be a tough sell for the naturalized U.S. citizen from the West Bank who comes from Muslim and Catholic religions. Farouk Shami has deliberately pressed the weak nerve of people as a way to achieve more followers. He knows the economy is bad, jobs are reduced, unemployment has risen to high numbers, and here is one man who promises to bring enormous jobs to Texas.

Shami, who made a fortune through hair-care products like colors, hair dyes, hair shears, etc. said he will put $10 million of his own money into his campaign and raise another $10 million. He also outlined his policy points for the crowd during his formal announcement at his Chi USA headquarters in Houston. The policy points include:

  • More spending on education and less emphasis on standardized testing.
  • A pledge to take a gubernatorial salary of $1 a year.
  • Support for lowering tariffs and establishing manufacturing jobs on both sides of the Texas-Mexico border.
  • A proclamation that Texas should be an exporter of food.

Rick Perry himself acknowledged Farouk Shami’s story as that of the American dream. Though, 66 year old Farouk Shami sounds ambitious with his plans for the development of Texas, but will he be able to overcome ethnic prejudices among voters?

Hair shears are known to provide awesome celebrity hairstyles. Almost all professional stylists use good quality hair shears to provide stunning hairstyles to celebrities like Cheryl Cole, Kim Zolciak or even Shakira. The recent Shakira She Wolf Hair is an example of hairdressing scissors put to their best use.

Shakira had recently released her new album titled “She Wolf” and the hairstyle that she sported on the cover prompted everyone to name that hairstyle as Shakira’s She Wolf Hair. This new Shakira look saw her use two extensions clipped into her hair so that it looked longer. Before clipping those extensions her hairstylist had used thinning shears to remove the bulk from her original hair.

When I saw her recent hair ‘do, I realized that Shakira’s hair does not lie! She appeared as a guest for the ‘Late Show With David Letterman’ in NYC on Nov. 10. Shakira rocked some long spiraled locks outside the Ed Sullivan Theater. She looked stunning with the twisted hair-do and cozy leopard print scarf.

I am really amazed at what hair shears can do to one’s personality. When Shakira had arrived in this industry, she looked very raw and had that peculiar Colombian look. With time and help from stylists who use professional hair shears, Shakira has changed from Colombian-Lebanese belly-dancing grungy hippie folk-rock singer to blonde, toned, tan, pop chanteuse.

Many people term this Shakira make-over as an attempt to package herself successfully in the United States to those beyond the Latino community. To be honest, why should we care about what she does to market herself? She’s a singer and an artist and we all love her songs.

OK, I admit that she also looks sexy when she styles her hair using hair shears.

What do you think of the Shakira She Wolf Hair, though? Does it make you… howl?
