OK soooo….In the November of ’07 I stopped relaxing my hair and went on a journey to become natural! On June 6th ’08 I washed my hair…took the shears out and handed them to my 17 year old brother and instructed him how and where to cut my hair.
After embracing the other side I was immediately in love with the new look! (my family thought otherwise) I always had it hooked up! with maybe 5-8 jumbo flat twist in the front w/ puff in the back alternating from different styles. Then I discovered a curl gel and it worked WONDERS on my hair! OH how I was happy!
I noticed that my ends were in need of a slight trim, so I went to a salon to get them done. I asked that she blow it out (because it’s very curly) and cut the very minimum of my hair off as possible!….well that lady got scissor happy! and when I checked it out I had several layers cut into my hair! it was an absolute MESS (layers and fro don’t mix!)
so after arguing with her I asked her to press it for me because I was not walking outside with the botched up fro! and not to my surprise…she did not press hair! so I asked…ok…what can you do? she says “flat iron” and I agree “ok…Whatever”
My hair was soooo short when it was flat ironed! but i would have to keep the style up if I didn’t want to look crazy, but then I would be doing some MAJOR heat damage to my hair!
uGh!..so after a while I gave in and stopped straightening it and it was horrible…It looked like all my hair in the back had broken off (because It curls really tightly) and my top was really long….I got annoyed with it and decided to relax it again and start over.
that’s where I am now 
I have relaxed it about 3 times since them because I lacked the time to keep it looking decent because of school. The last time I relaxed my hair was May 28, 2009, and It will remain the last!
